$225,000 Settlement for Mother Hit and Injured on the Garden State Parkway
The Clark Law Firm obtained a $225,000 settlement for a driver who was injured on the Garden State Parkway. In March of 2017, a mother of two was driving her daughters home from school when she was rear-ended. There was minor damage to the vehicles, however, when our client pulled to the side of the road and exited her vehicle to inspect the damage, the other driver drove away, hitting our client and causing her to fall to the ground and break bones in her hip and pelvis.
Our client was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center where she remained for three days. Next, she underwent a two week course of physical therapy at Kessler Rehab in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. She returned home to her family and used a walker and then a cane before she began walking on her own again.
The Clark Law Firm filed suit against the defendant driver, the vehicle owner and our client=s own insurance company which provided for uninsured/under insured motorist coverage. The defendant driver did not have an active insurance policy and after a little over a year of litigation, our client’s insurance company agreed to settle the case for $225,000.
